Dogs playing casino games is a proven crowd
favorite. This elaboration on the theme was presented on a Dunes
promotional postcard. The Dunes was a hotel/casino that stood
on the southwest corner of the Las Vegas Strip and Flamingo Road, at
the site of the present-day Bellagio. This is actually a very
realistic portrayal of a roulette game, excepting the dressed dogs around
the table.
The dog dealing looks so smug I just want to slap him. Honest. The Doberman in the orange suit is quite the ladies man, I think. I've never seen such a large dog look so...suave. The dog with long floppy ears and the floral print shirt looks like a natural born victim. The sheriff dog and the boxer are putting down a lot of action. If I could be any of these dogs, I'd want to be the Doberman. -dgs |
